Alumni Career Conversation with John Hunter

Thursday, October 4, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm EDT

Join us for lunch and a career conversation with Rackham alumnus and Detroit native Dr. John Hunter! Dr. Hunter will share his personal experience as a first generation Ph.D. student studying art and art history and the path his career took after graduating from Rackham. Dr. Hunter has worked in both museums and academe. For example, he served as an Exhibition Curator at the Detroit Institute of Art and was Professor of Art and Associate Dean at Cleveland State University. Dr. Hunter is a practicing artist who currently resides in New York City where his work explores what it means to be an African American gay man.

This workshop is designed for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Space is limited. For faculty and staff, please contact RackhamEvents@umich.edu to see if we can accommodate your attendance.
