2024 Rack the Vote: DIY Photo Submissions
As part of our Rack the Vote effort, members of the Rackham community are invited to join us in encouraging the larger U-M community to vote in the 2024 United States general election on November 5, 2024 through photos and quotes shared on our social media accounts (@umichgradschool).
A Note on Nonpartisan Messaging
As a public university, we can only share nonpartisan information on our platforms. We cannot advocate for any particular candidate or ballot initiative. Please do not wear any campaign t-shirts/hats/pins, use any campaign backgrounds, or have or any other campaign-specific or political party-specific memorabilia in your shots.
Photo Caption Information
Please make sure to include the following in your submission email to [email protected]:
- Your Information
- Name
- Home Unit
- Your degree path (master’s student, Ph.D. student, Ph.D. candidate)
- Your U-M affiliation(s)
- Your 1-2 Sentence Nonpartisan Statement. Possible prompts to consider:
- Describe your voting plan. What you plan to do to get yourself to the polls on November 5 or mail in your absentee ballot?
- Why does voting matter to you?
- Describe how you get “ballot ready” to make sure you know what’s on your ballot and are educated on the issues.
- What would you say to someone who says their vote doesn’t matter?
Photo Specs
For your photo, please send the highest resolution of the photo you can. If you’re sending from your iPhone or Android, select “send original” when sharing. A casual photo or a professional headshot can work here.
