Rackham Certificate of Graduate Study Programs

A Rackham certificate of graduate studies is a non-degree credential for study and participation in a scholarly community around a focused topic of special academic interest.

In my graduate studies I rely heavily on my training, my educational experiences, and my community to engage with my research. I view the disciplines that I am a member of, as not simply containers of knowledge or storehouses of methodologies—but as peoples whose experiences and pedagogy have allowed me access to their expertise and community to push the boundaries of scholarship and historical thinking. Relying on my expertise, while also maintaining a commitment to my academic community and engaging with diverse scholars, opens the possibilities for rethinking history and anthropology as a tool for positive change.

Professional and Academic Development is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The office is closed Saturdays and Sundays and on the following holidays: Thanksgiving (Thursday and the following Friday), Christmas through New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), and Labor Day.
