Appreciative Interviewing

Thursday, November 21, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm EST

Appreciative Interviewing is an advanced workshop that focuses on some of the values and skills needed for community-engaged projects that involve relationship-building, communication, interviews, and/or qualitative data. Participants will learn how to listen, what makes a good question, and how to ask good questions; participants will also have the opportunity to practice and apply these skills in activities and real-world scenarios.

This workshop will fulfill the DEI Certificate requirement for Connecting Across Difference and is designed for University of Michigan master’s students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows. For faculty and staff, please contact [email protected] to see if we can accommodate your attendance.

Registration is required at https://myumi.ch/Jw6GV.

We want to ensure full and equitable participation in our events. If an accommodation would promote your full participation in this event, please follow the registration link to indicate your accommodation requirements. Please let us know as soon as possible in order to have adequate time, preferably one week, to arrange for your requested accommodations or an effective alternative.
