Inclusive Leadership: Creating an Inclusive Environment
Friday, October 25, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm EDT
Having diverse individuals on a team or in an organization does not make that space automatically inclusive. Inclusive leaders create environments where a diverse group of individuals can thrive. In this interactive workshop, we will discuss traits and practices of inclusive leaders and why it matters to create an environment in which all employees/members have a seat at the table, where everyone feels heard and included for their unique contributions.
By the end of this workshop participants will:
- Discuss Deloitte’s six Signature Traits of Inclusive Leaders
- Understand how cognizance of bias is essential to becoming an inclusive leader
- Gain resources that can be utilized to improve your traits as an inclusive leader
This workshop is designed for University of Michigan master’s students, doctoral students, and postdoctoral fellows. For faculty and staff, please contact [email protected] to see if we can accommodate your attendance.
